this bittersweet sundown ( WORDS ) 527 ( TAGGED ) CHRIS HALLIWELL ( STATUS ) COMPLETE P.J glanced down at her phone with a smirk as she finished sending the text to her cousin. It wasn't like she was intentionally misleading Chris, she was just.. playing with the truth a little. Sometimes Chris seemed to have a bad habit that involved forgetting that life wasn't all about the good old 'protect and serve', and that was exactly why she wanted to remind him. Saving people was all well and good, but sometimes, you just had to learn to kick back and loosen up a little. Technically, she had the exact opposite of Chris' 'problem', meaning she preferred the fun and carefree side of life a little too much, but that wasn't up for discussion tonight. No, tonight was about getting her cousin out on the town and getting him to have a little fun - maybe even a few drinks. She did tend to see him as a big brother, and what were younger sisters for if not getting their big brothers into trouble - all in the name of good fun, of course. She had been having a little back forth conversation with Chris via text that involved her asking her cousin to meet her at a local bar because she was due to meet up with 'someone' that wanted to give them information on the Demonic happenings. All very 'hush hush' and, coincidentally, not at all true, either - but she had to get Chris out somehow, didn't she? She had deliberately avoided asking him to meet her P3 - giving a rather vague excuse about needing 'neutral ground', instead asking him to meet her at a little known place on the other side of town. With the message sent she approached the bar and leant casually on the surface - she had to wonder how long it would take Chris to catch on to her little 'plan', and, just how mad he'd end up being because of it. It was all done with the best of intentions, that had to count for something, didn't it? "I better get him drunk.." She mused to herself, wincing slightly at the idea of a long winded lecture or whatever else she might get thrown her way. She slowly shook her head, shaking the thoughts away as the bartender approached. Flashing him a quick and polite smile she made a quick drinks order. "Two beers." Was the simple request - one for her and one for Chris when he arrived. Once the drinks were ready she grabbed the two bottles and headed over to a quiet table - taking a quick swig from her beer bottle as she went. She set the drinks down and deliberately spun her chair around so that the back was against the table and sat backwards on it - her arms resting in front of her as she watched the door - mentally going over the little 'white lies' that she would have to tell to keep Chris clueless. Of course, he was going to find out eventually, but, hopefully the fun evening would distract him from being too annoyed, and if not, well, you only live once. table by california dreaming of caution 2.0, lyrics by framing hanley |
